William (“Bill”) Onofry

Bill’s been practicing law for more than 20 years in Port Jervis. Working as a file clerk for his uncle at Cuddeback & Onofry, and then joining him after law school, Bill’s been around the practice of law for most of his life. Since 2014 he’s operated his own firm with now partner, Ann D. Walsh – a Matamoras, PA native. Bill focuses on estate planning – wills, trusts, Medicaid/elder law, and estate administration. But his love for business and tax planning in- and outside of the firm gives him an edge. He can talk business and strategy with folks from all walks of life, listen, and plan in a cost efficient manner. Bill prides himself on his network of friends and clients and looks forward to adding you to that list.

Bill’s married to his wife of 20 years, Jennifer, who serves of counsel to his firm and is a founding partner of Jacobs, Wilson & Onofry and Black Bear Abstract in Milford, PA. They have 3 children, live locally, and support various causes throughout the region.

Ann (“Annie”) Walsh

Annie’s working towards 10 years of practice based out of the Port Jervis office. Initially joining Bill straight out of law school she quickly earned a partnership and now spearheads the real estate and landlord/tenant practice. She also takes on some estate planning, estate administration, and business formation work. Collectively, she’s used her time and talents to build a solid reputation for work on simple and complex transactions. This includes negotiation and settlement of countless landlord/tenant hearings that require quick thinking to navigate the ever-changing legal landscape of rentals.

Born and raised in Matamoras, PA she now calls Port Jervis home alongside her husband, Taylor. When not dedicating her time and energy to her clients and caseload, she enjoys traveling and outdoor activities. With family throughout Orange and Sullivan County, as well as in the Scranton, PA area, and a client base that stretches as far, if not farther, we expect you’ll see why she’s an asset to our firm, family, and clients.

Jennifer (“Jenn”) Onofry

Jenn’s path to practice in Port Jervis is a little different than most. Initially recruited by a white shoe IP firm in New York City – Fitzpatrick Cella Harper & Scinto (now part of Venable LLP), Jenn worked at Cuddeback & Onofry and then at the Orange County, NY DA’s Office. First under Francis Phillips and then David Hoovler, she earned promotion to the special victims unit. Eventually moving laterally to the Sullivan County, NY DA’s office, then to the Pike County, PA DA’s office, and even the Pike County, PA Public Defender’s Office, she joined Walsh & Onofry before founding Jacobs, Wilson & Onofry and Black Bear Abstract in Milford, PA. There she manages the firm’s operations and focuses on Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Estate Administration.

At our firm she supports the Estate Administration practice, making periodic appearances in court for us too. We rely upon her organization and communication skills to help us through all types of scenarios. Scenarios involving small, mid-sized, and large estates. Trust administration. Or even the occasional landlord/tenant matter.

On top of running several successful businesses, she’s the main reason the Onofry family functions. A level-headed thinker born into a military family, she uses her ability to adapt and adjust on a daily basis. She’s a major reason for the family’s successes, and always willing to invest herself in a good cause to better others. A former CrossFit instructor, she exercises routinely, runs races, enjoys travel and outdoor activities.
